This furniture art section contains examples of items such as tables I’ve used as alternatives to canvas, incorporating hand-painted abstract designs. The majority are currently available to purchase, though some sold items may be featured just for your interest.
It’s worth noting that all them pieces of furniture art are based on pre-owned furniture, which has been given a new lease of life. Athough 100% ‘sound’, all items of used furniture will be imperfect in one way or another and show signs of wear in the form of little knocks etc. This is unavoidable.
The furniture I use for furniture art has come to me via my 'day job' and is all pre-owned, of varying vintage. My skills are those of an artist and not a furniture maker/restorer so my focus is always on the artwork that items feature and not on trying to make them look 'new'.
